Take snow mountain climbing as an example. The basic part is hiking and camping. Gradually learn higher level technologies: rock climbing, ice climbing, high altitude adaptation, glacier walking and rescue, rope use and so on.

 

If you are not sure what you are interested in, start by walking.

Mountain sports, most of them start from walking. More advanced outdoor sports also require knowledge of hiking and camping. This basic movement can be used as part of supporting other higher levels, reaching the activity area on foot, or constantly adapting to the outdoor environment on the road, familiar with its physical strength and deepening the understanding of nature and movement.

Walking is a relatively low threshold, low physical technical requirements, low cost, and high tolerance outdoor sports.

Of course, time-consuming may be longer than direct payment. However, relying on physical practice and self-study is often more solid than the teacher’s hands. Moreover, if you can learn technical skills in the city every day (such as: after school, go to the rock after work, weekend to outdoor climbing), this time can be greatly shortened.

Beginners who have no outdoor experience can slowly start from low-altitude and short-distance walking attempts, gradually expanding to low-altitude long-distance and long-term lines according to the improvement of ability and accumulation of experience.

Walk around the short-distance route of your city, 2~3 days, there are people along the way, the distress can be withdrawn at any time, try to avoid taking the scenic spots with stone steps to plan the route.

Then, the transition to a slightly simple, long-term physical and basic knowledge involves climbing, descent and camping. Familiarize yourself with the limits of your body while familiarizing yourself with the use of outdoor gear and brands. The most effective way to deal with altitude sickness is to become familiar with the correct process of adaptation and response and establish a relative improvement mechanism.

This is also why high-altitude hiking is tried after having a certain hiking experience. Outdoor sports are always accompanied by risks. It is recommended to understand your abilities and physical limits step by step, as well as to understand nature.

I don’t agree with the online companionship and the strangers going outdoors. I wouldn’t feel insured if I was invited to travel in the city together. It is difficult to trust someone I don’t know in a place where the environment is more error-free. Moreover, most people will also have the illusion of dependence because of their companions, and the preparatory work in the early stage is not sufficient.
